VOLUNTEER TO HELP THE CARANTOUAN GREENWAY!

Here are some ways that would greatly help the Greenway in its community service efforts:

  • Lead an outing: We are always looking for people to lead hikes on Greenway trails or at other local nature sites.  If you enjoy birding, wildflower identification, geology, nature photography, insect identification, or any nature activity, why not share your passion with others.

  • Trail Maintenance: We have many trails that need to be trimmed and mowed often.  Pick up cans and general trash that gets left in the parking lot and along the trails.  This is a great way to get outside and enjoy the outdoors while helping to keep the trails open for public enjoyment.

  • Docent Educator:  Assist with, lead, and/or develop student and adult environmental education programs.

  • Photographer:   Take photos at Carantouan Greenway events to be used for publicity, educational events, and to enhance our website.

  • PR help:   Write newsletter articles; create signs, flyers and brochures, write articles for the newspapers.

  • Other Volunteer help:   Mark tree trails, phone volunteers on our call list, help with highway and stream cleanups.
